Summary: Classic Books
Comment: I just love this. I have an E-Book and this saved me lots of room for other books. My mother loved it too and she is 85. Took it away from me to start reading it right away. So if you love the classics or want to start reading them, then this is the way to go. The reading was very easy on the eyes and there were several old stories I had forgotten that I read. Also several I had not read and wanted to.

Summary: Wonderful convenience
Comment: I have owned this product for the last few weeks. I absolutely love it. I was skeptical at first due to the size of the DS screen. I have read four novels and am on my fifth at the time of this review and I have to say that this is the perfect item for me. It's easier to read that I thought. The pages flow by rather quickly. I also like being able to rate my book. I have a life style that has plenty of time to read, and also just 10 minutes here and there. Having this in my purse,or pocket, has been extremely invaluable. I can't stand boredom. I have shown it to several of my friends and acquaintances and they have all agreed, upon inspection, to approve the product. Well done to whoever came up with this idea. One flaw(mine) - I have to remember to charge my batteries!

Summary: Rediscovering An Old Love
Comment: Ever since i started gaming, i have neglected to read as much as i used to. This DS title changed everything. I am now reading quite a bit and, in fact, am enjoying some of the books i used to hate when i had to read them during literature classes back in HS. Somehow, reading it on a handheld console makes it more "fun".
I am enjoying it so much that i purchased a similar title from Amazon's UK site as it featured some books that are not available in the US title. For those who are looking to brush up on their second (or third) language, Amazon's DE and FR sites have a similar DS title with 100 books in their native language. If you are fluent in all 3 featured languages and bought every title in this 100 classic books series, that's almost like hauling 300+ books in your backpack without all that extra weight. I do hope they will release this title in Italian as well, if they haven't already done so.
Reading is fairly easy on the DS Lite and the controls are simple. I can turn the pages of the book that i am reading with one hand while feeding myself with the other. While others have complained about having to turn the page after reading a few sentences, i have no problems with it. Being glued to the story plot in the book made such hassles a minor detail.
No extra lighting is needed and i can comfortably read while in bed and under the covers.
This is an excellent collection for bookworms to have. Would be great if they can come up with another 100 books in the near future. I would definitely get it.

Summary: From a Surprised E-Book Fan - use your DSiXL
Comment: I love my kindle, so I'm not one of those readers who insist on a "real book." However, I was uncertain what I think of this application for the DS. I have the new DSiXL, and I don't think that I'd want it on the standard, but with the bigger screen it works okay.
It tells you how far you've gotten in the book, which is nice (page 150 out of 450 or whatever). There are also several "bookmarks" you can use to mark your place or to mark things you might want to go back to.
One thing that I do like about it, as opposed to the Kindle, is the backlit screen, which makes it nice for nighttime reading if my husband is sleeping.
There's also a fun quiz you can take and the "owl" will suggest a book for you to read, based on the preferences you give it about genre, length, and time period.
My 11-year-old daughter really enjoyed using it to read Alice in Wonderland. There are a few kid-friendly titles, including some fairy tales, but most are for teens to adults. I think that a high school student or college student could use this for required reading.
