Summary: Madden Takes Big Steps Backwards
Comment: I loved Madden 10, it was the biggest leap forward EA had taken with the franchise since they came to PS3 and 360. However Madden 11 is the complete opposite.

Franchise mode has been stripped down to nothing more than playing games and signing players. Gone are the pregame warmups and training to increase your player stats. The news section is very generic and looking at stats is somewhat painful compared to years past.

The new Gameflow feels useless if you have been playing Madden for years. This is EA's attempt to get more casual gamers, even though Madden is already a pretty casual series. Half of the fun of the game is picking your plays yourself, and it feels like time should have been put into other areas of the game instead of wasted on Gameflow.

The presnap adjustments were changed to the d-pad. I can't figure out why. It didn't simplify anything and just aggravated hardcore Madden players that were used to the old system. It's like EA changed it just to say they changed something, because I see no reason this was renovated at all.

Now Madden does have better graphics. The presentation is still solid. The new commentary from Gus is welcome, however you still have to listen to Chris Colinsworth, who in many cases uses some of the same old lines you heard all during Madden 10.

Overall I'm too big of an online Madden player to pass this game, but it took all of the momentum the series had going from last year away and is pretty disappointing.

Summary: If It's in the Game......Well its not!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment: I've been trying to like Madden for the past 3yrs now.... EA is the only company that can give us NFL/Gamers our football fix.... EA has realized a LONG TIME AGO that they can serve trash and that idiots like us will still flock to it...

The only thing I can say is good about Madden is losing the Sprint (Turbo) button. The defense gets no love in Madden, for instance take a tiny running back like Darren Sproles of the Chargers...
I can understand a very elusive Running Back like him juking defenders in the open field... But in Madden they give even the tiniest guy SUPER Strenght to just push these BIG 300 Plus Pound Defensive tackles to the ground as if they were Kindergardeners... WHat im saying is, in Madden the Offensive player will 9times out of 10 win over the defensive guy on the initial one on one contact...
I was playing a exhibition game vs the Buffalo Bills (I was playing with the 49ers).. And CJ Spiller (rookie RB with the Bills) has the ball and running toward my player, Line Backer Patrick Willis (Probably one of the top 3 line backers in the NFL today)... Both I and the cpu controlled Spiller are running at each other full speed... CJ spiller must of turned into the HULK because he just BOWLED right through Patrick Willis as if he were a rag doll...

And dont' get me started on players still running full speed out of bound on sideline passes..... Yes they still do this in Madden........................

And how come when you think your in perfect position for a interception, your defender just bats the ball down with one hand? WFT

Madden is JUST PLAIN GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a good thing that there is a much better alternate in the BasketBall Games Space... Because NBA live is just the worst...

HE EA!!! All WE WANT IS PURE AUTHENIC SIMULATED SPORTS!!!!! NO EXTRA GARBAGE.... LOOK AT WHAT 2K HAS DONE FOR PURE AUTHENIC SIM BASKESTBALL....

Summary: Best Madden Since 05
Comment: I think this year's Madden is very disliked and its for one main reason, its because EA actually took some intiative and redirected the Title in a new direction. The Problem is, is that it really depends on whether you were a fan of the past 5 Maddens or not because if you weren't then you will definitely love this game over past titles. If you were however a fan of the others, You will have mixed feelings on this game. Now that thats out of the way lets talk about some of the new features and and the improvements. One of the biggest improvements in the game was the new engine which showcases an all new running style (if you play with Peterson from the Vikings you probably notice this feature more over any other running back) which displays real life running momentum. If the Guy is a bruiser in real life than most likely in the game he'll always fall forward for a good couple of yards. Another improvement is the AI. The AI is much tougher this year and it acts like its real life counterparts. If the Quarterback is a Field Genius (Peyton Manning) you'll notice constant play changing and shifts that counter your play. The all new animations look great as well, though the graphics to take step down but overall they look good. The only problems I've encountered so far is a little bit of slowdown every once in a while and some minor Announcer Glitches. Speaking of Announcers for the game they sound GREAT! Everything related to Presentation has been near perfected and it actually gives you a feeling of being at the game. To leave you off with "buy this game" would be wrong, but I do recommend renting it as it is a completely new Madden and it might or might not be for you.

Summary: Madden Good as Ever
Comment: The game is as good as ever.
The GameFlow is a good option for geting plays called quickly...and it's easy enough to customize.
I have 2 complaints:
1. I think we should be able to save the game during a franchise game(e.g you've played 3 quarters and you have to stop playing, you can't save; you have to exit the game). I don't understand why EA doesn't enable this

2. Why does EA charge for it's online access? I think the $50+ for the game should enable 1 free year of playing Madden online.
