Summary: A Must for Serious Gamers
Comment: This seat is very sturdy and comfortable. My Logitech Momo wheel was easy to install and works well with the seat. I did need to drill a small hole in the foot rest/pedal platform so as to insert a bolt into the base of the pedal unit so that it would not slide from side to side. There was a female threaded nut inside the base to accept the bolt. The lower edge of the pedal unit slides right down into the groove between the heel rest and the pedal unit base. I purchased the optional seat adjustment slider and that was a very useful addition so that one may easily slide the seat back to get out of the unit. My son-in-law is 6'2" and I am 5'9" and we both were very comfortable in this seat. I couldn't believe how well it was constructed and how nice the unit looks. Very impressive. It slides easily on carpet.

Summary: Playseat Evolution is AWESOME!!!!
Comment: I ordered the Playseat and it shipped out on a Monday and I got it the next day! Way to go Amazon! It is absolutely AWESOME!!! I have a GT Force pro wheel and it is fantastic with my ps3! It makes you feel like you are right in the game. Definetly worth the money and does what it is suppose to do.I way a little iffy on spending that much money on the seat, but the deciding factor was when it went on sale for $272 with free shipping! Can't beat that and now I am so happy that I purchased the Playseat Evolution. Friends love to come over and play it. Buy it, you won't go wrong.

Summary: I needed something for my G27
Comment: Well, I've got a PS3 and I've been wanting Gran Tourismo forever. Finally, at Christmas, I got a Logitech G27. That's all fine and good, but I needed a seat as well. I did my research and game up with the Playseats Evolution as the premier seat. I purchased the seat from Amazon at a great price of 299. and added the gearshift and slider accessories. All without any shipping costs.
Once I got the seat, I was amazed that it all fit nicely in a fairly small box. It weighs 55lbs, so, you might need help lifting it. Assembly was fairly easy, the instructions were clear. What wasn't clear was the seat slider. There were no instructions for it, but after studying the slider, it was installed no issues.
I did not like the fact there was no cable management (channels or holes, etc...); however, a quick run to Home Depot fixed it fairly nice with cable looms. I picked 1/2" loom and (almost) everything was packed away and tied down. I HIGHLY recommend some cable management.
The seat came with all the necessary hardware to mount the Logitech G27. Once everything was tightened down, I put my but in the seat and it felt GREAT! I slid the seat, wheel and pedals to my comfort position and then fired up GT5P. What an amazing experience. Nothing prepared me for having that much fun.
I got the slider mainly for the use of my 6 and 12 yr old girls. They can adjust the seat, wheels and pedals to fit them exactly. Again, I HIGHLY recommend the slider for your kids.
Overall, the fit and finish is outstanding. I read some other comments about some bar in the back, either I have a newer seat or it's not there. The seat is very comfortable, even after hours (to my wife's dismay) of shredding the tracks.
One caviat: I have never owned a racing wheel or a seat. This is my first experience; however, if this is an example of what sim racing is about, then I am OVERLY excited. What a fantastic combination. For me, I will probably wear out the seat and wheel before years end.

Summary: Bucket Seat
Comment: Spectacular item and a must have for true gamers. If you have a Logitech GT Force/Pro or the g25/27, then this is a must have. It makes GT seem realistic and very cool. You really feel like you are driving a real life simulator, just the way that it was meant to be played. The installation was easy as well and it looks compact enough to be moved around but not to bring to a friends house or anything. I give it a 5 because of the realism that it brings towards Gran Turismo.

Summary: An in-home arcade. High quality, easily adjustible, a blast to use
Comment: I've owned the playseat evolution for about 4 months now and couldn't be happier. I picked up the white seat with silver frame, as well as the TV stand and gearshift mount, and built a custom platform for it. There's nothing that comes close for in-home driving games. It's easily adjusted for a range of heights (I'm just over 6'1") with the turn of a few knobs. My only complaint on adjustability is that there's no vertical up-down for the steering wheel, it's a 45-degree angle, so raising it up brings it closer to you (and while you can slide the whole steering assembly away from you to compensate, that puts the "steering shaft" closer to the pedals, which can get in the way of your legs/feet at times.

Assembly took a fair amount of time, but wasn't overly complicated. Fit and finish is superb, though the hardware it shipped with was miscounted, so I had to use some of my own. Fasteners are top-quality stainless, the whole unit looks great.

Gran Turismo will never be the same!
