Summary: Great cable
Comment: For the price this cable is the best I ever had, just hooked it up to the xbox (btw, I have the 1,0 version of the box, so the very first) with no problems, it is not tight, like other people reported, the component ends are good, fir firm on the back of the TV, and finally got XBMC on 1080i, what a pleasure! Next step bigger HDD and the media center is ready.

Summary: Total waste of money
Comment: So I just got a Panasonic 32" 720p HDTV, and tried playing my (original) Xbox on it using composite cables (red/white/yellow), when I noticed how washed out the picture looked. I couldn't really read text, and the games just didn't look good. So I decided to get a component cable because I heard the quality of the picture was exponentially better. I found this "component cable" and saw decent reviews and a good price point and jumped on it. I got the cable in a week and already had doubts when it came in nothing more than a plastic bag (I bought it new). I know it wasn't the seller's fault, since I think this is how these cables are sold. I decided to overlook this unforeseen surprise, and plugged everything in. The cables fit well but I turned on the Xbox and was shocked. At first there were severe lines scrolling up and down the screen (purple horizontal lines). I think it's called ghosting? I unplugged everything and tried a couple more times. It got better and the lines disappeared. Instead, the game screen completely turned black every ten seconds. After over an hour of fiddling, I gave up and realized that these aren't official Xbox cables. If anybody could recommend me GOOD way to get HD for my Xbox other than the $30+ monster cables, please tell me. All I know is I can't even return these cables since they were $0.01 + S&H

Summary: Diagonal lines **Solution**
Comment: To all of you people having difficulties with those darn diagonal lines, read this! I was just
about to buy myself some of those monster cables, being fed up with those lines. But, now I can't see them anywhere!
Every game, every dash, every emulator runs flawless and with the best picture possible :)
What to do:
1. Be sure your xbox is running in NTSC mode. If you have a european xbox download enigmah (google) -> ftp to xbox -> Run it -> press B --> Should say NTSC then exit (press those four buttons or turn off xbox)
2. Now you need to enable HD by starting the xbox with the eject button. Now you either got the msdash or SID's screen up, get to the video settings and here's the solution **ENABLE ALL THE RESOLUTION MODES** Now that you've enabled 480p|720p|1080i save and reboot.
3. -Optional- If you run XBMC enable all the hd modes there too ;)
There you go! Everyone should now be able to use these cheap cables to get excellent picture!

Summary: Disappointed with the ghosting
Comment: I purchased this cable based on positive reviews from others who had bought it here. Unfortunately, my experience with the cable was unsatisfactory.
I bought the cable to connect an Xbox to a Samsung LCD TV which has two component inputs. I tried the cable on both inputs, and in all three modes (480p, 720p, 1080i). In all cases, I saw severe ghosting.
I ended up purchasing a different cable from an auction seller, and it worked flawlessly - therefore I feel confident in saying that the cable I received was defective.
Very disappointing, I was looking forward to being able to use the digital audio output connection too.

Comment: Not sure if i received the correct item. It works like it should though (has the component outputs for HD).
