Summary: Youthfully Entertaining
Comment: Sly Cooper is one of the greatest "just for fun" games I've ever played. The game is geared toward a younger audience, in my opinion, but that fact doesn't deter me from enjoying the great things this game has to offer. There is a sort of youthful thrill that is spurred by sneaking around guards and maneuvering through laser security as a thieving raccoon. The levels are fun, simple, and most of all creative. The various ways for Sly to get from point A to point B in the levels are fun, (i.e. running along wires, climbing up flag poles, etc.).

One of the best aspects of this game is the side mission of collecting all the clue bottles in a given level. The clue bottles are scattered throughout levels and finding them is just as fun as making it through the level. Collection of all the bottles allows Sly to open up safes and learn new moves and techniques.

The only negative (in my opinion) to this game, is a small handful of missions that require you to play as Sly's friends, a nervous nerdy turtle named Bentley, or an annoyingly obnoxious hippo named Murray. But these levels are short, and gameplay as Sly is continued. (A heads up, Bentley and Murray playtime is drastically increased in the sequels, though by that time, they have been improved to be worth playing).

In short, it's an entertaining game, possibly described as "Assassin's Creed" for kids. I'd recommend it highly for anyone looking for a simple, yet fun game.

Its a very nice well thought out games where you wont want to put down the controler ever. You can swing jump run sneak and alot of other awesome things you fight enemys go over lava and once and a while during game play you watch a small episode that leads you into another level of awesomness.

Summary: sly cooper & the thievius raccoonus
Comment: simple folks will be mislead by the "e for everyone" rating & the simplistic - almost childish - graphics.
but this is a classic.

you play as sly cooper, a young master thief descended from a line of master thieves. sly's on a mission - he needs to reclaim all five sections of the stolen thievius raccoonus, his ancestors book of tricks of the trade that was to be inherited by him. but, due to the arrival of the fiendish five & the untimely slaughter of his father, sly was placed in happy camper orphanage, where he met his future accomplices & soon-to-be best friends: bentley, the tecno-turtle genius, & murray, the hungry-hippo getaway driver.

the only issue that i encountered with the game were the camera controls in relation to sly's movement. too much action on the camera controls, & you lose sly. the angle of the camera dictates whether or not he can simply jump on a ledge, & sometimes a glitch in the game's controls would cause sly to fall, trip a security laser, or something else unfortunate.

the development of sly & his abilities, & the difficulty of the levels, were very balanced & thorough (although some boss battles seemed a little too easy for the chronological order of the game).
