Summary: Good game, but overrated.
Comment: This was a pretty good game. I really enjoyed it. Despite having turn-based combat, it still worked out quite well. However, I thought combat difficulty was a little excessive at times. You could change the difficulty at any time, but I kept it on normal. Of course since it's turn-based, combat turns out to be less challenging and more cheap and frustrating with the difficulty, too. So, make what you will of that.
The story was great too. The characters were real and vibrant, and the dialogue and voice-work was superb. Good conversations throughout the game.
I do think this game is overrated in many areas, however. From what I heard, it was a very intricate game, packed with stuff that would take you a month to finish. I thought it was a little shallow there. I thought it kind of short, actually. In my opinion Jade Empire was the better game. I don't really find too much replay value in the game either. Maybe in a couple years I'll pick it back up, but certainly no time soon. In my opinion, the ending sucked too. Many of the side quests (side conversations, maybe?) you have with different party members are completed with a "Now that you found out such-and-such about party-member-x, maybe y will happen after the you defeat the Sith," yet the ending just ends, and leaves all these threads dangling. For an expansive game, the ending, in my opinion, was very curt.
So, there's my two cents.

Summary: Simply put..the best game I have ever played...EVER
Comment: I love Star Wars, but even if this wasn't a SW title, still it is the a phenomenal game. This game has everything anyone could ever want in a game. When I played this initially I played for 6 yours at a time sometimes, its that engrossing. I have no concept of anything else, it really pulls you into the story of the game. When I deployed to Iraq, I brought my X-Box with me...I replayed this and its sequel countless times over and over. There is jsut so much to do in this game that you play it again and do it differently and or do things you missed before, side missions etc. I can only describe this game as "create your fate"...like the old books from when we all were kids. Whatever you make a choice - dialogue and the game changes around it. Its very interactive. I recommend this over the sequel which though it has more interaction with character development of your "crew" has pot holes in the game since it was rushed. This offering though is amazing. BUY THIS!

Summary: Star Wars Lovers
Comment: I played this game when it first came out in 2002 and it was an instant favorite. I am however the most intense Star Wars nerd you may ever meet so it could be a bias that i have. It is a combination of the game play and how deep the story line goes and its foreshadowing of all six of the movies. Overall a great game, the likes of which are rarely seen anymore.

Summary: A Classic RPG
Comment: A great game, with a great balance of Action, Story, and Strategy.

To me, this game should be lumped into the set of "Essential RPG Experiences" list along games like "Chrono Trigger", "Final Fantasy 6 (FF3 for super nintendo)", "Parasite Eve", "Dragon Warrior 4" e.t.c.

There is plenty of variety and challenge to make this game great for multiple playthroughs, and provides strong replay value as opposed to most games out there.

This game works on the Xbox 360 console. If you have a connection to Xbox Live, (and a gold membership, I think) then you get a bonus area as a free download where there is a shop with some extremely powerful gear.
