Summary: A good system!
Comment: Revised review, I bought this system with the intent on selling it, I should have picked up the worse game ever to test it. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, had some awesome games and the system took be back to the days when I was a kid. Honestly if you are a game NES, SNES and DS all the way! You may ask why the Nintendo DS, kind of a kids console and all, remember it plays GBA games as well which are often remakes of classics. Also the second best part of this type of SNES is you can just throw your SNES right on top of it. Awesome Nintendo, not only for making a classic, but the next system SNES stacks on top of it so well. One thing I will say negative about I don't know how much it matters, but the controller's D pad seems to sometimes not respond. Now this could be my controllers of just an issue due to age of the controllers themselves. I vaguely remember this being an issue on some games as a kid, but really hardly an issue. 25 years and still going strong!

Summary: Best of the old school
Comment: While many people see the NES as a dinosaur, a bulky, ugly thing compared to the fancy-schmacy PS3's and Wiis today. You young whippersnappers have no respect for your elders, that's what.
Without lovely 64 or 128 bit graphics, NES game designers had to use their brains and think of good plots, fluid play, and interesting gimmicks. Of course, some video games failed at that, such as Hydlide or Athena, but the NES truly had some of the finest titles to offer, many of which took on new incarnations throughout the ages to current gaming platforms (Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, Tetris, Mega Man, Final Fantasy, the list goes on...)
Nowadays it's hard to find a intact, much less functioning NES and many of its games have been re-released into current platforms so these games aren't lost. But there's still something about the NES and it's simple joypad and array of fun and entertaining games. Without the NES, where would we be today?

Summary: Awesome service
Comment: The system was better than described (I didn't know about or expect the adaptors that were included). It was ready for hookup after my Christmas present was unwrapped. Shipping was very prompt and with the tracking I knew when to dash to the mailbox and hide my present for a great Christmas surprise.
